Me and my fiance moved here from Chicago and were upset that we couldn't find any place close to the wonderful Chicago food we were used to until we stumbled upon Tony's! We fell in love the food is kick a$$ and the staff is great! We also love Mikey... a great guy and friendly....has not let us down once with the food or service! If you know great food then you should know Tony's!! They have forever customers with us.
We got some appetizers (toasted ravioli and fried calamari). The ravioli was awesome and the calamari was just alright. We didn't come for the appetizers though... the pizza is why we came!
I wish I could give them 6 stars !! I had no idea we had a place in the Quad Cities with this good of Chicago Style Pizza. Honestly when I ordered I was hoping it would just be half as good as Giordano's in Chicago and what I got was just as good (dare I say better) and delivered to my door. The person taking my order gave me some good suggestions and was very helpful ! The person who delivered my pizza was friendly and courteous and my pizza was piping hot !! Think I am going to go reheat a slice in the oven for breakfast :) We will be ordering pizza from here a lot as it saves us a long drive when we are craving delicious Chicago Style Pizza !!!
I was in Moline for a conference, staying at a hotel. We ordered Tony's Chicago Style Pizzeria and really enjoyed it. Most impressive, when I ordered I was asked how many people would be eating. At first I was puzzled, but when the pizza was delivered they included paper plates and napkins. That is SO thoughtful for people staying in a hotel. Nice touch! I can't tell you how many times I've had to eat huddled over the box, using facial tissues for napkins. Thank you and really enjoyed your pizza!
We had the Chicago Deep Dish Mega Meat... All I can say is, "Holy Cow!!" It was a great balance of toppings - just enough meat, cheese, and awesome sauce! Don't get this pizza if you like dry... there was a lot of sauce, but it was the glue that held it all together. Very good, and I think it puts the "World's Best" to shame.
Like the pizza. Don't order delivery! They will tell you your pizza will be there within an hour. But it won't. And when you call and ask them where your pizza is, they will say "It just left". And when you say "It better be fresh, it's been an hour and 15 minutes", they will say "Oh, it's fresh". DON'T BELIEVE THEM! It did not just leave and it IS NOT FRESH. This has happened to us more than once and we are done... no more Tony's for us. Such a shame.... customer service means nothing to them. This pizza is not worth the inflated price or the frustration. Until they figure out that they should respect their customers and tell the truth, it is not a place we care to frequent. !!!
Oh my!! After visiting another local establishment (I won't name them, however they bill themselves as having the "World's Best Pizza") and being a bit disappointed, we thought we'd try someone else, and I'm so glad we did!!
Service was great, prices were reasonable, and atmosphere was just like being in a Chicago area neighborhood pizza joint. It didn't hurt that we cheered on a 3-run comeback posted by the Cubbies for the "W" too!! Eating alongside the locals was a great experience. Definitely worth the trip!
