We have wasted a year trying to identify the cause of our daughter's headaches. It is impossible to get seen at this clinic if you have a job. Multiple times we had an appointment set and upon our arrival were told the appointment was for the previous day. They will only make appointments 48 hours out, so forget about scheduling around school or work schedules. The physician did not seem at all understanding of our situation and was incredibly condescending when we asked for clarification on medications. Additionally, we had to request medical records be transferred three times before Community Health Care acknowledged receipt. Each time we visited this clinic my daughter cried and asked that I not make her go back. It was a heart breaking experience.
The wait times can be long, and all the staff I have dealt with have been pleasant. If you have a scheduled appointment and arrive early it isn't so bad, but I have waited for at least an hour or more for an appointment that was scheduled. I give it three stars only because of the inconsistency in wait time vs. when the appointment was actually scheduled.
We waited over an hour in line for a free sports physical for school. We get to the door and the guy that handed Elijah a number, says it's only for high school kids! He knows Elijah is not a high school kid when he handed him my number! I was so angry!
I was early for my appointment and still didn't get seen til an hour after my appointment abd while I was there someone else was late and they said they couldn't see her baby that she had to reschedule but it really wouldn't even matter cause it would of been an hour wait.
In short, if you are white - you can forget about it. The receptionists will make you wait for HOURS, even for a scheduled appointment. If you are in major pain, they will reluctantly let you see the triage nurse, who will schedule you for an appointment during a time when the Dr is out to lunch, and the receptionists will NOT tell you that it will be another hour before the Dr is even back in the office. No, they just want you to wait, not knowing if they forgot about you or what. Then if you ask and someone FINALLY tells you what's going on and you say you have to leave to take your husband to work, but you'll be right back - they tell you NO, you can't leave the building or you will loose your appointment. Even though the Dr isn't even in the BUILDING for another HOUR! Go to the ER, they will get you in faster and are actually pleasant people.
